Boni is a high school nickname that seemed like the perfect pseudonym for the BrewVenture. Born and raised in Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), in a family with German and Polish roots, beer has always been present in several moments. My great-grandmother even had a beer recipe that was famous for its occasional explosions. Together with my siblings and cousins, we started to try different beers and finally ventured into some homebrews back in 2013. After moving to Portugal in 2014, I started exploring the world of beer with a more adventurous spirit. Whenever I travel, one of the first things I look for on the map is "craft beer," and the bars help to outline (if not determine 🙈) the tourist route. Since 2019, I've been brewing at home and have about 500 check-ins on Untappd. I decided to invest in my passion for beer and I was awarded (with distinction 🤓) the “Level 2 Beer Award” certification by the WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust). Additionally, I’m my journey to become a certified BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program) judge. I thought a more dynamic way to learn would be sharing this journey with you all. I hope you enjoy it!
